Delhi CS assault witness Jain resigns as Kejriwal's advisor

However, Delhi police have earlier submitted a report in Delhi court saying Mr Jain has admitted that AAP MLAs surrounded the chief secretary and saw them assaulting him at Chief Minister's residence on the evening of Februar19, 201818.

Cong MPs will raise sealing issue in Parliament along with AAP MPs.

The CAIT, however, demanded Singh to press the Centre for enacting a special legislation in the Parliament which could overturn the sealing of commercial entities in residential areas - as ordered by the Supreme Court.

He said the Delhi government had not yet met the monitoring committee since the sealing drive had begun, adding that the chief minister had also agreed to a meeting with the committee.

Sisodia said the government would create opportunities for both parties to apprise the monitoring committee about their views on the sealing.

The deputy CM was speaking at a media briefing after the meeting at Kejriwal's residence. "Ajay Maken (Delhi Congress chief) has given some good suggestions for reforms, we will implement them", Sisodia said.

Sisodia also said that the BJP does not want to find a solution to the sealing drive.

Taking on the BJP for not attending the meeting, Sisodia said that the ruling party at Centre was not serious and doing politics over the sealing. Mr Tiwari who is on a state visit overseas on Tuesday had a teleconference discussion with senior Delhi BJP Office bearers and traders on the sealing issue.

At the Vyapari Panchayat held on Tuesday at Karol Bagh, the CAIT declared to hold a Mega Rally of Delhi Traders against sealing on forthcoming March 28 at Ramlila Ground. It will be sent to BJP also.

The then Centre and State Government under Congress Party working by on its past strategy to suppress the issue, brought out an under developed Master Plan-2021 which though stopped the sealing at that time but soon complicated the situation to the extent that in 2017 Supreme Court actively re-intervened.

AAP and the government were represented by Kejriwal, deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia, urban development minister Satyendar Jain, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, AAP's Delhi convener Gopal Rai and MLA Somnath Bharti.

Mr Maken said that everyone should join hands to stop the sealing drive and all the facts should be properly presented before the Supreme Court.
