Flight attendant caught with cocaine taped to legs

An airline employee was caught trying to smuggle about $160,000 worth of cocaine through John F. Kennedy International Airport.

Hall had just arrived in NY with other Fly Jamaica Airways crew members from Montego Bay, Jamaica, authorities said.

According to UPI, Jamaican citizen Hugh Hall, who was a crew member on a Fly Jamaica Airways flight that was arriving in NY from Montego Bay, was being inspected by police when they found four packages of cocaine taped to his legs under his trousers.

The powder later tested positive for cocaine.

The Jamaican citizen presented himself to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers for inspection.

The two men were arrested and are facing federal narcotics smuggling charges, according to the CBP. His flight had arrived from Montego Bay, Jamaica.

Hall was detained after a court appearance on Monday.

Federal officers assigned to JFK directed Hall into a private search room.

Nearly a year ago to the day, CBP officers stopped a would-be smuggler at JFK Airport who had also taped cocaine to his legs.

"This latest seizure demonstrates our CBP officers being ever vigilant in protecting the United States from the distribution of these illicit drugs", Hayward said previous year. Tuere Easter was at the JFK airport when she was stopped by Customs and Border Protection officers.
