Here's the play that got Russell Westbrook his 100th triple-double

With George sidelined, Russell Westbrook took over in the fourth quarter to register his 21st triple-double of the season and the 100th triple-double of his career with 32 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists.

The Oklahoma City Thunder point guard now has more than double the number of triple-doubles than the next-best National Basketball Association franchise since coming into the league during the 2008-09 season.

Russell Westbrook recording yet another triple-double stat-line, no longer comes as a surprise as it has become nearly a nightly habit for him.

Westbrook needed 736 games to reach 100 triple-doubles becoming the third fastest player in league history only behind Oscar Robertson, Magic Johnson who needed 227 and 656 games respectively.

These past two seasons have been where Westbrook has gotten the bulk of his triple-doubles.

He was also able to become the fourth player to reach the 100 mark in career triple-doubles.

The triple-double records accomplished previous year were some that were famously said to unbreakable.

Last season, Westbrook won the MVP award and set a league record with 42 triple-doubles, joining Robertson as the only players to average a triple-double over a full year. In addition to his three 50-point triple-doubles, Westbrook has eight more with at least 40 points.

However, the team's relative inexperience led to their downfall as a flurry of fouls was committed on the Thunder's Patrick Patterson and Russell Westbrook - forcing foulouts by John Collins and Isaiah Taylor. "That was no matter for the Thunder, as Russell Westbrook coordinated a group of Carmelo Anthony, Corey Brewer, Raymond Felton and Jerami Grant on a 16-0 run during a four-minute span to break a 103-103 tie with 5:15 to go to help generate a 119-107 Thunder victory". Between his plus/minus and the Thunder's win percentage, there is no doubt of the correlation between Westbrook's triple-doubles and team success. With 12 games to play, Westbrook is averaging 25.3 points, 10.2 assists and 9.6 rebounds per game.

1,232: Westbrook has grabbed 1,232 rebounds during his 100 triple-doubles for an average of 12.3 rebounds, which almost doubles his carer average of 6.5 rebounds per game.

Westbrook didn't have the triple-double, yet.
