LEGO The Incredibles game officially announced, coming to Xbox One in June

While LEGO: The Incredibles won't be a simple rehash of either movies' storyline, it does tease familiar locations such as Municiberg and Nomanisan Island alongside fan-favorite characters like Edna Mode and Frozone.

COGconnected had reported on the existence of a Lego game about super-powered family last week.

After a leak earlier this month, it looks like WB Games and TT Games are ready to officially announce Lego The Incredibles. The same familiar puzzle-solving, combat, and Lego-related building quests will be interspersed with other attacks and powers based on The Incredibles' abilities to play into the family's strengths.

Headed to PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and the PC on June 15th, 2018 (the same day as The Incredibles II movie hits theaters), LEGO The Incredibles will include storylines from the original animated film and the upcoming sequel.

The game will put special emphasis on teamwork, much like the films, relying on player cooperation to deliver special attacks and construct specific Lego builds. Featuring an open world hub, LEGO: The Incredibles will contain all the usual humor of a LEGO game with all the Pixar magic of The Incredibles. The latest trailer for The Incredibles 2 can be found here. Does Lego The Incredibles being the real deal mean the rumored Lego DC Villains game is also happening? They've made these games year after year for quite a few franchises such as Star Wars, Harry Potter and even Indiana Jones and it sure doesn't look like these Lego games are going to stop coming out.

The Parr clan of superheroes has been out of commission for almost 14 years, but they're finally coming back this summer in Pixar's Incredibles 2. Interactive Entertainment, TT Games, The LEGO Group, Disney, and Pixar. Just remember though - no capes!
