LG V30 users in USA report receiving Oreo update

The Sony Xperia R1 and R1 Plus smartphones were launched back in October 2017 at Rs 12,990 and Rs 14,900 respectively.

The new Oreo update comes with a feature that reminds you of the unfinished tasks like email in the drafts. The Xperia actions feature is said to intelligently suggest actions to users based on their usage.

The Android Oreo update brings all the new features introduced by Google to both the phones such as the Picture-in-Picture mode, autofill, notification channels and more.

Firstly, several users are posting about the Wi-Fi SSD issue after the update and secondly, the update is making several third-party apps to crash.

As far as the Sony Xperia R1 and R1 Plus are concerned, it is known that both the smartphones were released with Android Nougat on board along with Sony's custom skin of Android.

The Xperia R1 mid-range handsets bear a 13-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash. For the front, there is an 8-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling.

There's no follow-up model yet as it is too early but good news, the Xperia R1 and R1 Plus are getting the Android Oreo update. After a rather long wait, the update has finally started rolling out.

The update has a version number of V15.0410.1802.34, and was just released today, so it may not be available to everyone yet. The update arrives as version 2.19.400.1 in some regions while in others it is arriving as version 2.19.709.2. In order to update to the latest operating system, users need to go to Settings About Phone Software Update. The updates also include a security patch update for the two Xperia devices.
