Metal Gear Survive Has A Kojima Easter Egg??

Largely because of Konami's actions surrounding Hideo Kojima and Silent Hills.

Metal Gear Survive hasn't had the smoothest of launches, with the zombie-killing spin-off plagued by numerous server issues following its release on PS4, PC, and Xbox One last week.

This code was discovered by Reddit user 1005Horatio on February 25th, five days after Metal Gear Survive's release.

Konami is rolling out Metal Gear Survive co-op missions next month, while both daily and weekly missions are now live. Konami not only removed Kojima's name from the directing credit from Metal Gear Solid V but also rescinded Silent Hill, a game very close to Kojima's heart.

Apparently, if you look at the first letter of the second name of every soldier on that list after the first two names - yes, it's a bit elaborate - then you'll discover the message "KJP Forever". The first name on the list is Mosquito, a major player in the events that set off Metal Gear Solid V, listed as MIA.

Those sales seem to have translated into equally lackluster statistics, as Metal Gear Survive reportedly hit a peak concurrent player count of a mere 7,713 players this past weekend. KJP FOREVER is an obvious shout out to Kojima and his studio, putting the player right in the middle. Did this individual feel that they went AWOL from the original Metal Gear vision?

Some fans have pointed out that the list is simply the names of the insane wandering soldiers from Phantom Pain, and that Metal Gear Survive is simply reusing old content that had a rousing hurrah to Kojima Productions within it.

Whatever the case, it's clear that Konami has its work cut out for it if Metal Gear Survive - and the Metal Gear franchise as a whole - has any hope of surviving. Unfortunately, the folks over at Konami have not said much about how this mission will go. On the sheet, a secret message can be found hidden in ten names.
