Samsung Galaxy Note9 spotted on Geekbench

Samsung Galaxy Note9 spotted on Geekbench

For a few weeks now, we've been waiting on Samsung to push Android Oreo out to the Galaxy Note 8. Last year, the Galaxy Note 8 was unveiled in August, with shipping starting in September.

Recently, some country-specific website of Samsung listed the support pages for the Galaxy Note 9, which carries the model number SM-N960U. The report claims that the display production usually starts in June, thus putting the Galaxy Note 9 two months ahead of schedule.

All the three iPhones to be launched this year are likely to feature an edge-to-edge display, Face ID and TrueDepth Camera. The latter is believed to feature a single rear camera and miss out on the 3D Touch feature. However, if the latest reports are anything to go by, we might be seeing the phablet launch as early as July. The benchmark listing of the smartphone confirmed the presence of a Snapdragon 845 SoC, though its global model is expected to come with an Exynos 9810 SoC.

The Note 9 display, expected to measure 6.38 inches, which is bigger than the previous 6.32-inch screen, will be the largest among Samsung's high-end handsets. The device rocks 6GB RAM and it will run on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.

You'll find reports dotted around the internet as a whole, but one of the best places to look is the Galaxy Note 8 subreddit. This processor is expected to launch only in the U.S. and China market.
