Tessa Thompson To Reunite With Chris Hemsworth For MEN IN BLACK

THR reports Tessa Thompson, who plays Valkyrie in Thor: Ragnarok, is set to star opposite Thor himself Chris Hemsworth in the reboot, who's reportedly close to joining the film.

Following the success of Thor: Ragnarok, Tessa Thompson and Chris Hemsworth are looking to reteam on another big movie. The script has been written by Iron Man screenwriters Matt Holloway and Art Marcum. It's set for a June 14, 2019 release. Right now, she can be seen in the sci-fi drama Annihilation, and we'll also see her later this year in the acclaimed Sundance comedy Sorry to Bother You and Creed II, not to mention on HBO in the second season of Westworld.

Chris Hemsworth's contract to play Thor finished with the fourth Avengers movie, though he hasn't completely ruled out the possibility of returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and his supposed return to the Star Trek franchise as Captain Kirk's father George Kirk is in doubt. Will Men in Black 4 be the noisy cricket we need?

The film is said to take an approach similar to the one used for Jurassic World's revival of the Jurassic Park franchise. Earlier reports suggest Sony wanted a diverse cast for the movie featuring a white male, a black woman, and an older man. The news comes to us via em The Hollywood Reporter.

The original film starred Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones as Agents K and J who investigated aliens on Earth. The two actors saw their efforts pay off in terms of ticket sales; the 2017 movie made almost $854 million in theaters around the world, according to Box Office Mojo. Steven Spielberg will serve as executive producer. The first three films were directed by Barry Sonnenfeld.
