Plot details are scarce, but each girl's character will reportedly have a unique "girl power" superhero that fits her personality.

Victoria Beckham's "Posh Spice, ' Emma Bunton's "Baby Spice, ' Melanie Chisholm's 'Sporty Spice, ' Melanie Brown's 'Scary Spice" and Geri Halliwell's 'Ginger Spice" - have signed off their likenesses to be used in an animated film, according to Variety.

The source adds, "The Spice Girls are thinking big in terms of a franchise on a global scale". The Power of Spice will soon be something real, and not DC, or Disney, or Marvel can touch it!

There was recent talk of a reunion tour after an Instagram snap that showed the fab five catching up after all these years to reminisce on the good ol' days when their particular brand of girl power reigned supreme. 'Cos they want to bring an animated superhero movie to the big screen.

The project is now being shopped around to potential partners, and it seems that the most famous girl group of all time has set their sights pretty high.

So far, no official comment has been made by the royals or the Spice Girls camp but a royal wedding would 100% one-up their 2012 performance at the London Olympics Closing Ceremony.

The project falls in line with the women said and posted on social media last month, after rumors floated that the group was considering reuniting for a tour.

It may not be the reunion long-time fans were expecting but damn does it have the potential to fill the empty chasm in our lives.

A Spice Girls superhero movie would surely include singing... right?
