The Warriors are coming off back-to-back losses for the second time this season, but they partied like they just won the NBA Finals to celebrate Stephen Curry's 30th birthday on Monday night. "It's weird not having Steph out there", Durant told reporters. What's hard to imagine is a team that could match-up against Kevin Durant's dominance, Stephen Curry's magnetic offense, Draymond Green's unrelenting hustle, and Klay Thompson's cold-blooded shooting.

"I'm very confident in where we're heading", said Golden State Coach Steve Kerr, "but we're in the middle of a tough stretch". The Warriors were without Curry and Green when they beat the Lakers 116-114 in overtime on the road December 18, and again had to go without Curry in their 113-106 home victory four days later. The defending National Basketball Association champs then went on to lose the next two games without him, to Portland and Minnesota.

The Los Angeles Lakers look to keep the ball rolling after winning 10 of their last 15 games.
