Andre Ingram steals the show in Lakers' loss to Rockets

Tuesday night's game between the Rockets and the Los Angeles Lakers didn't have much riding on it, but it was the most important game in the world for Andre Ingram. Ingram went undrafted in 2007 and has played professionally since, mostly in the NBA's Developmental League, with the exception of a stint in Australia.

He'll finally have a chance to leave his mark, and also could be viewed as an tryout for next year. Early in second quarter of the contest, 32-year-old guard Andre Ingram made a trip to the free throw line and instantly got a treatment from Lakers fans usually reserved for LA greats. He did receive a Summer League roster spot with the Utah Jazz during his time with the Flash, but he did not make the team.

He then spent the next four years playing for the Flash, before signing with the Los Angeles D-Fenders for another four years.

Ingram spoke to the New York Times before the game and was adamant he wouldn't change his style of play for the higher level.

New Los Angeles Lakers member Andre Ingram got an awesome update to his Wikipedia page after making his long-awaited National Basketball Association debut.

Ingram averaged 9.1 points per game for the South Bay Lakers this season, helping them to the G-League's Western Conference finals, where the team, coached by Coby Karl, lost to the Austin Toros.

He is now the fifth leading scorer in the school's history with 1,655 points.
