Flagship gaming smartphone camera, design details revealed

Xiaomi's first gaming smartphone is expected to be launched on 13 April. Touted as hardcore gaming smartphone, the new Black Shark device from the Chinese smartphone maker will be fitted with Snapdragon 845 processor.

Few days remaining for Xiaomi's Black Shark launch and the leaks of the gaming smartphone are still coming.

The leaked image that has been posted on Weibo purportedly shows the back of the Black Shark.

An LED flash unit also sits beside the rear camera and there is no fingerprint scanner on the rear side of the smartphone. The Black Shark back panel makes it look like some kind of a military equipment than a smartphone.

Xiaomi, which recently overtook Samsung as India's No. 1 smartphone brand by shipments, has also started making a small number of phones at another plant in Noida with another partner, Hipad, which has so far been making power banks for the brand. Nevertheless, an AnTuTu listing previously confirmed that the new phone will come with a full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and 32GB of onboard storage.

Furthermore, the BlackShark is expected to be running on a latest, Android 8.0 Oreo operating system powered by Android.

About 95% of the smartphones that Xiaomi sells in the world's second most populous country are manufactured in India and by embracing the "Make in India" initiative of Narendra Modi, the country's Prime Minister, the smartphone manufacturer has avoided import tariffs.
