Girlfriend of Cowboys DT David Irving retracts domestic violence allegations

The investigation comes after Irving's twitter account was hacked by his ex-girlfriend and she accused him of domestic violence this morning.

Cowboys defensive lineman David Irving is being investigated on multiple domestic violence charges, Frisco police have confirmed to WFAA, but his girlfriend, who initially made the allegations, has since retracted her claims.

First reported by Jobin Panicker of WFAA-TV, the Frisco, TX police department is now looking into multiple allegations made against Irving.

The news from Frisco PD came after a weird and troubling series of tweets from Irving's verified Twitter account Monday morning, during which allegations surfaced that Irving beat his girlfriend and left her without a home.

Irving's accuser filed the reports against him at 5 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Sunday, Rotello said.

Several screenshots of those tweets are below.

Irving spent the morning erasing tweets, Facebook posts and Instagram messages from what he described as a hack of his accounts by an ex-girlfriend.

The string of tweets started with a post from his verified Twitter account, @Caliboy_95, saying: "David Irving going to jail say good by (sic) to his football career". Previously Irving had been charged with domestic violence. Irving even tweeted a picture of door locks, claiming he changed them on her so she couldn't re-enter. Irving appears to have claimed the woman from this incident is the same one from Iowa State. She has her hair lol. "David did not put his hands on me at any time".

"She did this exact same thing at Iowa State. She's a MmA fighter, bad attitude, and she uses my position against me". Irving served a four-game suspension for violating the league's PED policy last season, and is now looking at something much more serious. Irving recorded seven sacks in just eight games last season.

This is a developing story.
