Nigerian teenager stabbed to death in London

Tottenham MP, David Lammy told the BBC that drug gangs controlled by Eastern Europeans are behind most of the increasing violent crime in London.

A teenager was stabbed outside HSBC on Ealing Broadway in the last of the four incidents.

Earlier on Thursday, at about 5.30pm, a 15-year-old boy was found stabbed in East India Dock Road in Poplar.

One youth has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and another charged with GBH with intent.

AN 18-YEAR-OLD stabbed to death in east London has been named by his father. He died the following day.

Police said a man with stab wounds had approached officers in Link Street just before 20:00 BST.

He was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and further arrested on suspicion of murder.

The London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance attended.

London's murder rate in February and March was higher than New York's for the first time in modern history, and more killings this week have taken the total to 50.

At the Hackney protest, people huddled round the station entrance before locking fists in a wide circle in solidarity for those killed.

"Of course he did the right thing", said the retired aerospace engineer.

"This is a pensioner who has worked all his life and wants to live and die quietly".

"All the music that you listen to which glorifies this kind of thing, all the money that they see, all the cars that they see people driving, they are being sold a lie, they are being sold a false narrative - and we are here to change that narrative for them".

No details about the stabbing or condition of the victim were released by police. 78 years old, defending his property against somebody more than half his age.

There was outrage in the United Kingdom when a 78 year old pensioner who was burgled and to his defence reportedly attacked the intruder, the latter who died as a result of injuries, was later charged for murder.

In a statement Scotland Yard said: "At 00:45hrs on Wednesday, (7:45 p.m. EDT, Tuesday) 4 April, police were called by a homeowner to reports of a burglary in progress at an address in South Park Crescent, Hither Green SE6, and a man injured [sic]".
