Pele backs Neymar to win tournament for Brazil in Russian Federation

Pele is confident Neymar will recover from the "disaster" of the 2014 World Cup to take his chance in Russian Federation with Brazil this summer.

According to Pele, the 2018 World Cup is another chance for Neymar, who missed the team's 7-1 loss to Germany in 2014, to make amends. Seleçao have been tipped to make amends at this year's tournament in Russian Federation, though, after they breezed through qualifying to top the South American section with 12 wins and one defeat from 18 matches. "Our iconic stadium will provide a ideal backdrop for such an exciting game in the run up to this summer's World Cup and we are sure that players and fans alike will have a fantastic time".

"He already has a second chance because, unfortunately, what happened in Brazil - disaster", Pele told Omnisport.

Brazilian legend Pele has all his faith in Neymar's ability to help win the sixth Global football title.

Paris: "Brazilian star striker Neymar has hinted he is on track to recover fully after his foot operation, meaning that the player would be fit in time to feature in the World Cup" World Cup.

"We have excellent players, the problem is to form a team but i'm confident because the new coach had a little time setting up the team.I think we're going to have a really good team this world cup" says Pele.

"I can not play in the next World Cup but I feel good", he said with a hearty laugh."I had an injury, then I had to make a surgery for the head of my hip, then I had to replace (it), then I had a little problem with my meniscus, but now I am OK, I am ready, in good shape!"

Billy Hogan, managing director and chief commercial officer of Liverpool Football Club, said: "We are delighted to welcome two world-class teams to Anfield".

'But individual players, no doubt Brazil has a team to get to the final of the World Cup'. He said last week he is still recovering following surgery but expects to be fit in time for the World Cup from June 14 to July 15.
