Bethesda teases RAGE 2, may have robust online modes

Bethesda's E3 shows have typically been packed ever since the publishers started hosting its own conference a few years ago.

"We have some surprises in store", said Pete Hines, a Bethesda executive, back in April. I'm starting to get excited.

The publisher's E3 2018 showcase will debut on June 10 at 6:30PM PST. Now considering Bethesda was a bit too touchy on the leaks, it could be a possibility that, RAGE 2 announcement was on the cards all along.

Some are pretty convinced it's a tease for Rage 2, but if that were true, then maybe May 14 may not be the date of the reveal.

The first two tweeted images are pointing to the numbers 5-14, the time on the clock face and the numbers on the rocket, which seems awfully likely to be a reference to May 14th. Retail listings are notoriously unreliable and this all remains unconfirmed, but shortly after the "leak" the official Rage Twitter account reactivated to offer some playful notes on the supposed box art, all doodled in pink.

A second teaser, meanwhile, featured an image of a rocket adorned with the same shade of paint and the number 514. Finally, the fourth (and probably most telling) image shows a line for Anarchy Tours, with a very Rage-looking character waiting in line impatiently.

It's not unusual for Bethesda to give the game away before actually unveiling anything, though chances are we'll see more information about what all these teases add up to at E3 2018.

Whether we find out on Monday or at E3, we shouldn't have long to wait.
