Boy, 10, playing hide-and-seek found dead in dryer

Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 10-year-old Texas boy who hid in a dryer during a game of hide-and-seek. Investigators arrived at the apartment complex in the 12300 block of Fleming Drive just before 6 p.m.

The boy's mother, Christina Rodriguez, told KTRK she saw him drinking water about 30 minutes before his body was discovered in the dryer. "My boyfriend picked him up and brought him into the house", Rodriguez explained. Police said when the other children found Hernandez, he was unresponsive. "He was purple and his eyes were open and he was gone".

His mother had seen him alive just a half hour before.

Friends found him unconscious inside the dryer and called for help.
