Early voting underway in Montgomery County for May 22 Primary Runoff Election

There is only one race on each party's ballot.

The five early voting locations in Brazos County are the elections administration office, Arena Hall, Galilee Baptist Church, the city of College Station Utilities meeting and training facility, and the Texas A&M memorial student center.

The biggest race is the battle for the Democratic gubernatorial nomination between Lupe Valdez and Andrew White. Valdez is known as the first openly gay hispanic woman elected as Dallas County Sheriff.

Democratic party supporters from across the state of Texas will head to the polls early this week ahead of next Tuesday's runoff off election process.

The statewide race requiring a second round of voting is the one which will decide who faces Republican Governor Greg Abbott in November. The victor of the runoff will face Republican incumbent Judge Louis Garcia in November. If you skipped out on the primaries, you're still eligible to vote and can do so with either party. The remainder went to other candidates.

All three justice of the peace seats up for election are in the runoff.

Election Day is May 22. B in Seminole and is being used as a temporary home for the Seminole election's sight while the Gaines County Civic Building is being remodeled.
