Lucas Glover's wife arrested, charged with domestic violence after attacking her husband

The police report states that Krista's husband Lucas attempted to stop deputies from arresting his wife by changing his witness statement. The 2009 U.S. Open champion, Glover shot a 78 Saturday in the third round of the Players.

The report said that when his mother, Hershey Glover, tried to intervene, Krista Glover started attacking her.

Krista was eventually arrested for domestic violence - but cops say she became combative and resisted.

Lucas' injuries occurred when he stepped between his wife and his mother.

Police said Conley Glover "resisted" being brought to the patrol auto and being placed inside, including an attempt to "wrap her legs and feet around the door and frame of the vehicle".

The police report also said that Krista Glover attempted to flee the scene after her arrest and that she kicked a door of a police auto so hard it caused the door to "visibly separate from the cell of the door frame".

"Wait till the tour hears about this", Krista reportedly said. After previously saying he would sign a sworn affidavit, the three-time Tour victor then "refused" to do so, and he claimed he "was not fighting with Krista" but was injured during the altercation between her and his mother.

According to Golf Digest, which obtained documents from the St. John's County Sheriff's office, everything escalated when Glover's wife berated him for his poor round at The Players Championship over the weekend.

According to the report, Glover's wife fought against being put into the back seat of a patrol auto and damaged the door by repeatedly kicking it.

Krista also allegedly threatened to leave him with their children and that he would "never see their kids again", the report said. "You will lose your job".

"Regrettably, although Krista was charged, we are comfortable that the judicial system is able to address what actually happened", the statement said in part. "Wait til I talk to the judge, you will be [expletive] fired over this".

According to statements given to deputies at the scene, the altercation began after Glover completed his round.

When reached on her cellphone this afternoon, Krista hung up abruptly when asked for comment.
