Mario Tennis Aces details adventure mode, demo coming June 1

Nintendo will be holding a Pre-Launch Online Tournament from June 1-3 before the sports game arrives on the Switch on June 22. The online demo will conclude on Sunday, June 3rd at 11:59 p.m.

A Mario Tennis Aces Top Players Tournament featuring the top-8 best players from the online tournament will take place on June 24, 2018 at the Makuhari Messe. The playable roster will consist of four characters that include Mario, Peach, Yoshi, and Bowser. The game adds a ton of new mechanics such as parrying, controlling time, and the ability to break your opponent's racket.

Five secret unlockable characters will also be available by gaining points in the beta tournament and advancing through the online stages. It's, of course, up to Mario to bail out his brother and complete several tennis-related challenges. Similar to Splatoon's Global Testfire and ARMS' Global Testpunch, Aces will get an Online Tournament demo that will run for a few days to test server load.

However, with the upcoming arrival of Mario Tennis Aces, it looks like Nintendo is going to right the ship.

Those who play the beta will also receive Mario's trademark dungaree's in the main game as a free cosmetic unlock.
