Natural Disasters Coming To Cities: Skylines On Console This Month

Cities: Skylines - Natural Disasters expansion will land on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on May 15 as a separate purchase and as part of the game's season pass.

The DLC pack will be available on consoles from May 15 and promises to quite literally shake up your Cities Skylines experience with Tornado's meteors, and Tsunamis among other things. The radio stations aren't just there for auricular pleasantries, there's also the inclusion of broadcast warnings to give city builders a heads-up on when a natural disaster is headed their way.

The expansion brings a ton of new content to the city management and building game, including adding three all new in-game radio stations that feature brand new music to listen to. A new trailer has been released to announce the upcoming disasters, see below...

The new expansion adds a calamitous collection of new features to Cities: Skylines, including new systems for disaster alerts and response - and of course the disasters themselves, which can occur randomly, or be triggered deliberately by monstrous mayors who have never liked their citizens.

Each is capable of destroying entire districts, so players have to prepare by planning emergency routes and early warning systems. While you don't seem to be able to create your own scenarios on console, the expansion does come with a number of pre-made scenarios to take on.

The Natural Disasters expansion will be ready soon, though.
