Netflix snags Guillermo del Toro horror anthology series

Netflix snags Guillermo del Toro horror anthology series

I suspect this will be pitched at a slightly older audience, though. Called "Guillermo del Toro Presents 10 After Midnight", the show is now set to release "soon" according to Netflix's announcement this morning.

According to Deadline, Netflix has ordered a horror anthology series from the director titled "Guillermo Del Toro Presents 10 After Midnight". For 10 After Midnight, he will re-team with his Shape of Water producer J. Miles Dale, who will serve as an executive producer along with Gary Ungar. By the way, this isn't Del Toro's first foray into TV. The Academy Award-winning filmmaker will also have the third season of the animated kids program Trollhunters released on May 25.

If you were Guillermo del Toro and you were coming off a Best Picture Oscar and the world was your sexy oyster, what would be the first thing you do?

Netflix hasn't announced a release date for Guillermo del Toro Presents 10 After Midnight as of yet.

The director also recently found financiers for his feature-length adaptation ofScary Stories to Tell in the Dark, thepopular children's horror book series.

At this point in time there is no mention on when this new series will be launched, so we guess we'll just have to wait for it, but if you're a fan of del Toro's previous works then this could be worth looking forward to. The new series will feature handpicked horror stories from Del Toro.

Guillermo Del Toro's directing credits also include Crimson Peak, The Strain, Pacific Rim, Hellboy II: The Golden Army, Hellboy, Mimic, and Cronos.
