Now you can turn on/off your Pixel Buds through a triple tap

Google has announced its first ever Canadian pop-up shop at Toronto's Drake General Store.

Last year Google launched the Pixel Buds, the company's answer to the increasingly popular style of wireless headphones (or earbuds to be more accurate).

Google just updated is Pixel Buds so that they respond to more gestures. Pixel Buds can now be manually turned on or off by triple-tapping on the right earbud. This is a long-awaited feature for heavy music listeners as speaking to Assistant was previously the only way to jump to the next song.

Now, Google is adding even more supported gestures via an over-the-air software update. Anything you can do on your phone through the Assistant, you can with the Pixel Buds - so long as they're connected to your phone, anyway.

You can also set the double tap action - which so far only allowed you to hear notifications - to skip to the next track. You'll need to turn that on in the Google Assistant application on your phone though.

Finally, Google has made it easier to switch between Bluetooth devices.

Now, you can simply select the Pixel Buds on the new device's Bluetooth menu and the headphones will automatically switch sources.
