US willing support rebuild North Korea

US President Donald Trump thanked Singapore's leader Friday for hosting his upcoming meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un in the city-state, the White House said. Even if reports of the collapse of a major test site are true, Banks says, it suggests there's a path to denuclearization at next month's summit between Kim Jong Un and President Trump.

Kim declared his nuclear forced as complete in December, following the country's most powerful nuclear test to date in September and also three flight tests of intercontinental ballistic missiles created to reach the US mainland.

Kim Dong Chul, a South Korean-born USA businessman and pastor, is the longest-known US detainee in North Korea, having spent at least 900 days in custody.

Special rapporteur Tomas Ojea Quintana issued a statement hours after three US prisoners released by Pyongyang arrived back home.

Pompeo's surprise visit to North Korea appeared to be fruitful, as he returned with three Americans who had been held in North Korean labor camps.

So far, the North Korean regime has made vague pledges to "denuclearize" but has not spelled out what that means, when it would happen or how it would be implemented.

Pompeo stated that that any settlement with North Korea should embrace a "sturdy verification program" to make sure that Pyongyang complies, including that the Trump administration was targeted on ensuring "we did not find yourself the place we have been earlier than" of their talks with North Korea.

The North's announcement comes days after Washington announced that the historic summit between Kim and Trump will be held June 12 in Singapore. In a joint news conference with South Korea's top diplomat, he offered a glimpse of what US-North Korean relations could look like if they succeed in reaching a nuclear accord. "Stay tuned!" Two of the three - Kim Hak Song and Tony Kim - were detained during Trump's presidency.

Amid concerns North Korea will demand the US withdraw its troops from neighboring South Korea, Ms Kang emphasised the US military presence there must be "a matter for the US-ROK alliance first and foremost", using an acronym for South Korea's official name, the Republic of Korea.

Trump said Kim was "nice" for letting the three free before a summit planned between the two leaders, which he said would occur "in a few weeks". The Kim family has played the United States, in part, by insisting on long, drawn-out negotiations.

U.S. Secretary of state called the main requirement. It also, as National Security Adviser John Bolton spelled out after Trump's speech, sent a message to North Korea that "the United States will not accept inadequate deals".
