Angelina Jolie Channels Meghan Markle At Royal Event

Angelina Jolie may be queen of Hollywood, but she literally carried out royal duties Thursday in London! A few years later, she's representing those royal ties by attending a formal service at St. Paul's Cathedral in London. Paired with it were gloves, a silver purse, studded earrings and matching pumps, also from the designer.

While Queen Elizabeth II unfortunately had to cancel her appearance at her royal event today due to illness, Angelina Jolie made a surprise appearance there looking stunningly regal. The event marks the 200th anniversary of the Most Distinguished Order of St. Michael and St. George, which honors nonmilitary service in a foreign country.

But Jolie has actually been wearing Ralph & Russo for years, and most recently wore a white, asymmetrical frock by the brand to the 23 Critics' Choice Awards in January.

For the ceremony, The Maleficent star appeared to channel the ladylike-chic style of newly minted Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle, donning an knee-length Ralph & Russo couture dress in soft eggshell that featured a cowl bateau neck and long sleeves. At the time, the brand called it an "honour" to dress the famous actress and called her look - which is very similar to her most recent outfit - "simple, elegant and refined".

Palace sources noted that the extra £1.43 coincided with the arrival of the Duchess of Sussex as an official member of the royal family but they declined to provide specifics on just how much of this was spent on funding her activities and engagements.
