Dead, 3 Missing After Small Plane Crashes Off Coast Of Long Island

At 1:20 p.m., the Coast Guard suspended the search in the water near Indian Wells Beach in Amagansett.

One person was killed when a small plane crashed Saturday off the coast of Long Island.

Search efforts are continuing today for two people who remain missing after a deadly plane crash in the waters off Amagansett.

Only two bodies had been recovered as of early Sunday, but all four of the plane's occupants are presumed dead. Their grandson, 22-year-old William Macrov, was also on board along with the pilot, identified as 47-year-old Jon Dollard.

"Our deepest sympathies go out to the families and loved ones of the two recovered individuals", Coast Guard Captain Kevin Reed said in the statement.

The East Hampton Town Police confirmed to ABC affiliate WFTV 9 that all four people on board died in the crash, which is now being investigated.

Mr. Krupinski has built the palatial homes owned by such Hamptons luminaries as Martha Stewart and Billy Joel.

The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board will launch an investigation into the cause of the crash, according to CBS New York.

Coast Guard rescue crews, local agencies, fishing vessels and shore units continued to search the area for potential survivors Saturday night.

Saturday's deadly crash marked the second small plane crash on Long Island in a week.
