Fallout 76's E3 presentation was full of surprises

Fallout 76's E3 presentation was full of surprises

Now if that doesn't get you excited for this game I don't know what will!

The map of Fallout 76 promises to be four times bigger than that of Fallout 4 (which was huge).

A truck bearing some interesting art related to Fortnite has been spotted on the streets of Los Angeles, hinting at a possible launch of the Fortnite Champions Tour at E3 2018. If we see more on Fallout 76 we will be to let you know via social media! Much like the horror film "Wrong Turn", the game trades in on its audience's preconceived notions of rural residents in order to instill fear and create a feeling of otherness or strangeness in its players.

Once again, Fallout 76 has been confirmed for November 14, 2018. West Virginian folklore was used as inspiration to bring some of these new aspects in the game to life, which is shown to us through the protagonist picking up a magazine, a collectible familiar to those who have played Fallout games before.

Fallout 76's E3 presentation was full of surprises

Todd Howard, the director and executive producer at Fallout's publisher Bethesda, said that Fallout 76 is a prequel to all other games.

Vault 76 was one of the very first vaults to open in the Fallout world. It may sound like a stupidly small nitpick, but in the Fallout 4 universe, apparently everyone is perfectly happy to live in homes with partial roofs and a few planks nailed sideways constitute a wall.

The post-apoclyptic game set in West Virginia features numerous landmarks and characters about which the guide has published. You'll be taking on the role of one of the first people to emerge into "an untamed and very different wasteland". Your character will be one of its occupants waiting 25 years for Reclamation Day, when the vault finally opens for the inhabitants to repopulate the earth when the surface is supposedly safe from radiation. But that didn't tell us anything about what the game actually was.

The big difference Howard is talking about is that each of the characters you will see in the game will be a "real person". It's more "softcore survival", he says. "Play solo or band together as you explore, quest, build and triumph against the wasteland's greatest threats". To learn more about the B.E.T.A., visit fallout.com for more details. It won't be an MMORPG like The Elder Scrolls Online, though - it's more of a shared world like Destiny 2, with far less players hanging around than in your typical MMORPG. They'll be available to any player to do whatever they want with it. Not only is it going to be the largest Fallout game yet, it will be a completely online multiplayer game. But beware, because your base could be attacked by any number of things at any time. There's a photo mode too so that you can share all your insane moments together. If you head over to Amazon, the game can already be pre-ordered on Amazon.
