IHOP Changes Name to International House of Burgers

IHOP Changes Name to International House of Burgers

The International House of Pancakes, otherwise known as IHOP, is changing its name.

On June 11, the company announced they've changed their name to IHOB for burgers.

"We're always going to have pancakes on the menu", Rebelez said on Fox News's "Fox & Friends", "but America loves burgers and America loves IHOP and we thought this was a fantastic combination to bring America's burgers to an iconic brand like IHOP".

"Burgers are a quintessential, American menu item so it makes flawless sense that IHOP, one of the most iconic, all-American comfort-food brands in the world, would go over the top to create a delicious line-up of quality burgers that hit the spot any time of day", IHOb head of culinary, Nevielle Panthaky, said according to a release.

Some people are not excited about this reveal and are bashing IHOp, or IHOb on social media. On its website, the company featured a countdown clock for when the "b" would be revealed.

The former breakfast food chain announced last week that it would change its name, losing the "pancakes" moniker.

Picking up on the company's tricks, when one Twitter user said on Monday, "Your marketing team needs to be fired.ASAP", another simply replied, "ASAB". And, for what it's worth, the company is still publicly traded under IHP. Starting at $6.99, folks can get one of their new burgers with a drink and endless fries.

Pancake patrons need not worry, however.

But now iHOb will serve black angus beef burgers.
