Johns posted the image on Facebook while Jenkins changed her Twitter background. The first Wonder Woman film was set in 1917 during World War I. Jenkins told Entertainment Weekly, "The story will take place in the US, which I think is right". Of course, the major event was the Cold War that took place between the United States and Russian Federation, which will definitely have a big part to play in the film. Narcos and Game of Thrones star Pedro Pascal is among the new entrants to the franchise. The first movie was released a year ago, surpassing records at the box office for a woman-directed live-action film. Jenkins, Johns and Dave Callaham have co-written the script. Warner Bros has set the film's release date for November 1 next year.
