Xbox One X deals lead the charge in Microsoft’s E3 sale

Xbox One X deals lead the charge in Microsoft’s E3 sale

Finally, Microsoft will be offering one month of Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Games Pass for $1 each.

The sale includes a milestone with the first price drop ever for Xbox One X, with $50 off the system via the Microsoft Store and some participating retailers.

Of course, people will need games to play on their shiny new consoles. Microsoft has been struggling to keep up with Sony in the console wars, and a price drop seems like a sensible way to entice more users into grabbing a One X. That's still pretty expensive, but when you consider just how new the console still is, it's probably the most significant discount we'll see for quite some time. In the case of Xbox Games Pass, this allows you to try the service before you subscribe, while that Xbox Live Gold discount will unlock a month's worth multiplayer functionality on the cheap. 1TB Xbox One S bundles will start at $249 during the sale, which is nice because 500GB fills up quickly thanks to the size of modern games. A full list of games and discounts hasn't been released yet, but Microsoft has stated that full games start at $19.99. Over 300 titles will be discounted during the sale, including "Battlefield 1", "FIFA 18", "Assassin's Creed Origins", and a lot more.

There's also $10 off standard controllers and deals on those smart-ass controllers that you design yourself.

Unbelievable deals on over 300 games including those blockbusters you've been meaning to pick up like Battlefield 1, Federation Internationale de Football Association 18, NBA 2K18, Assassin's Creed Origins, Forza Motorsport 7, Destiny 2, Super Lucky's Tale, Monster Hunter: World, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds and Sea of Thieves. Seagate, Turtle Beach, and Hyperkin will all offer discounts on officially licensed products as well.

Microsoft's E3 2018 press conference takes place on Sunday, June 10th at 1:00 PM PT / 4:00 PM ET.
