Bolton: US has plan to dismantle NK nuclear program in year

"There are lots of things that we know that North Korea has tried to hide from us for a long time", one USA official said.

Bartiromo asked him about the historic summit with Kim in Singapore just weeks ago, saying North Korea should be telling the U.S.

"I'm confident what (Trump) intended there was, 'we did reduce the threat, '" Pompeo told a Senate panel. Now, is it possible--have I been in deals, have you been in things where people didn't work out?

This wasn't supposed to happen after the Donald Trump-Kim summit last month in Singapore. "Meeting with Kim Jong Un was an interesting and very positive experience". And by the way I really believe North Korea has a tremendous future.

Kim, the U.S. ambassador to the Philippines, met with North Korean Vice Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui for working talks that were believed to be focused on setting the agenda for an upcoming visit to North Korea by Pompeo, according to reports in Yonhap News Agency and MBC television.

"So we gave nothing. We didn't do anything".

Touting the six month anniversary of his tax cuts to a standing-ovation crowd in the East Room of the White House, President Donald Trump took a moment to address the murder of five journalists at Capital Gazette Newspaper in Annapolis the day previous. Trump said that in return, the USA would end its "very provocative" and "tremendously expensive" war games with longtime ally South Korea. The planes fly in from Guam, these massive bombers.

White House national security adviser John Bolton said on Sunday he believed the bulk of North Korea's nuclear programme could be dismantled within a year, as United States media reported that the hermit nation had recently increased production for nuclear weapons.

Aspects of the evidence were also reported on Friday by NBC News, which said that Pyongyang has in fact recently been increasing fuel production for nuclear weapons at several hidden sites. Earlier this week, the monitoring group 38 North reported that North Korea had made rapid improvements to a nuclear reactor.

"Analysts at the CIA and other intelligence agencies don't see it that way, according to more than a dozen American officials who are familiar with their assessments and spoke on the condition of anonymity", it reported.

The evidence collected aims to deceive the United States about the number of nuclear warheads in North Korea's arsenal as well as the existence of undisclosed facilities used to make fissile material for nuclear bombs, the officials told the Washington Post.

"We know exactly what the risks are, of them using negotiations to drag out the length of time they have to continue their nuclear, chemical, biological weapons programs, ballistic missiles", Bolton said.

"Now, we'll let their actions speak for themselves", he added.
