Censor Board Cuts Out Kashmir From 'Mission: Impossible - Fallout'

Audiences turned out this weekend to see Tom Cruise in his sixth run as Ethan Hunt in "Mission: Impossible - Fallout", which easily took the No. 1 spot at the domestic box office. The Tom Cruise starrer made a kick-start at the Indian box-office on Friday with an astounding collection.

With an estimated $61.5 million, Paramount's Mission: Impossible - Fallout fell a bit shy of Mojo's pre-weekend expectations, but still managed to deliver the franchise's largest three-day opening, topping the $57.8 million opening for Mission: Impossible II back in 2000.

Mission: Impossible - Fallout is turning out to be a success story as the collections were quite good on Saturday as well. The film, which cost $178 million to produce, received excellent reviews from critics, and moviegoers gave it an A CinemaScore.

"Rogue Nation" filmmaker Christopher McQuarrie returned to write and direct "Fallout", making him the first person to take the reins of more than one movie in the franchise. The film also features Henry Cavill, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames, Sean Harris, Angela Bassett, Vanessa Kirby, Michelle Monaghan, and Alec Baldwin.

Fellow new offering, Warner Bros.' "Teen Titans Go!". It launched domestically with $10.5 million. It bows next in the United Kingdom, followed by Germany and Mexico. Here We Go Again, with an estimated $15 million; Sony's gritty action movie The Equalizer 2 (last weekend's No. 1 movie), with an estimated $14 million; and Sony's cartoon monster comedy Hotel Transylvania 3, with an estimated $12.3 million.

"Incredibles 2" is now just $4 million away from reaching $1 billion worldwide.
