Donald Trump Declares Democrats "Want Anarchy" At Rowdy North Dakota Rally

Donald Trump Declares Democrats

"Tonight President Trump met with Senators Grassley, Collins, Murkowski, Manchin, Donnelly, and Heitkamp to discuss the Supreme Court vacancy", Sanders said in a statement.

And he says the Court's decision this week in favor of his travel ban underscores its importance.

"He did good", the president said approvingly after Cramer's brief speech, before taking several minutes to attack Heitkamp.

Back home in North Dakota, Heitkamp's party focused on a self-described "grassroots" effort, according to party Communications Director Alex Rich, to share its "North Dakota First" message.

Mike Murphy, a GOP strategist, said having a Supreme Court retirement and confirmation in a midterm election year will make a "red-hot" election year even hotter - especially because a fifth consistently liberal justice could bring hot-button issues like abortion and gay rights onto the court's docket.

He noted that Heitkamp voted against repealing President Barack Obama's health care law and the Republican tax plan and claims she'll also oppose his Supreme Court Justice pick. The president says he's actually used the product, "believe it or not".

"We have seen an outpouring of support from hundreds of volunteers across the state who have spent the day speaking with North Dakotans about kitchen table issues, ending the trade war, and protecting people with preexisting conditions", McNeil said. Also on Tuesday, Rep. Dan Donovan, R-N.Y., easily defeated former Rep. Michael Grimm in a GOP primary and former Trump adversary Mitt Romney won the Republican nomination to be Utah's next USA senator. Trump adds that Cramer is "tough on crime, strong on borders, loves our Military, and our Vets!" In a recent ad, Heitkamp boasted that she voted "over half the time" with Trump.

Heitkamp is one of the most vulnerable Democratic senators seeking another six-year term. Heitkamp did vote to support Trump-appointed Justice Neil Gorsuch previous year.

Leaders of farm groups and food banks are using President Donald Trump's visit to North Dakota to protest about trade, ethanol production, nutrition programs and farm bill negotiations. A few hundred protesters, many of them clutching signs, rallied outside Scheels Arena, but they were outnumbered by supporters who also greeted Trump's motorcade and waited outside the rally.

Trump called her a "liberal Democrat" who had to go because he needs more Republican senators to help move his agenda forward. He was also greeted by North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum and his wife, Kathryn Helgaas Burgum, as well as North Dakota National Guard Adjutant General Al Dohrmann and 119th Wing Commander Col. Britt Hatley.

Trump landed in Fargo at about 6:15 p.m. Cramer and Sen. Heidi Heitkamp. Cramer recently called White House Chief of Staff John Kelly asking for the campaign to take a new approach.

But Trump preserved most of his fire-and the crowd most of its ire-for when he started riffing about immigration and his coveted wall along the USA border with Mexico ("Build that wall!" the crowd chanted).

Heitkamp says she also talked about worldwide trade, oil prices and health care-related issues with the president.
