Elon Musk Sends Engineers From His Boring Company To Help Cave Rescue

Elon Musk is sending experts from his companies to Thailand to see if they can help free the trapped boys.

"Elon Musk will send his team to Thailand tomorrow (7th July) to help in cave rescue".

If you haven't been keeping up with the incredible saga of the boys soccer team trapped in a cave in Thailand, let me get you up to speed: The boys soccer team and their coach went on a bit of an adventure together, taking what was supposed to be a leisurely hike through a well-known cave system. There are probably many complexities that are hard to appreciate without being there in person'.

Musk hopes his engineers can join the already huge operation being carried out he Tham Luang Nang Non cave complex, where dozens of Thai Navy SEALs and global experts are attempting to find a way to get the boys out. "He may provide services for location tracking, water pumping or battery power", the government said in a statement.

Via the full Twitter thread, Musk discussed potential options for the endeavor, speaking of inserting a 1m diameter nylon tube "through the cave network" in an attempt to "inflate with air like a bouncy castle".

A Twitter user asked the Tesla, SpaceX, and Boring Company CEO whether he could provide any assistance with the recovery of the 12 boys and their 25-year-old coach who have been stuck in a Thai cave for almost two weeks, and Musk replied in the affirmative a few hours later.

He added that it could supply "fully charged Powerpacks and pumps" to aid authorities. As he noted, the Boring Company in particular has quite a bit of experience digging holes and working with ground penetrating radar.

The tech entrepreneur has taken to Twitter suggesting an underwater air tube which could be created for the children to crawl through.
