And Gal Gadot brought the joy live and in person to Inova Children's Hospital in Falls Church, Virginia this weekend - in full costume as the superhero.

Depp has made repeated hospital visits in his Pirates of the Caribbean costume, with a particular focus on Great Ormond Street Hospital in London.

Finally, we got a little sneak peek at the title character as Gadot posted pics of the character.

"Dear @GalGadot- Thank you SO MUCH for visiting my patients and colleagues at #InovaChildrensHospital", wrote Seo-Mayer.

A promotional image for the next film, titled Wonder Woman 1984, shows Gadot standing before a bank of TV screens showing Larry Hagman from 1980s TV show Dallas, among other things. "Love, #SuperFan." It appears that the visit was a surprise for both the staff and the kids, and was an altruistic move on Gadot's part. "Next time, can you align your visit with my call schedule?"

"[Wonder Woman is an] optimistic and positive character", Jenkins said at CinemaCon earlier this year.

Dropping by the Inova Children's Hospital in Annandale, Virginia, it was clear the kids were delighted with a real-life super coming to wish them well.

"Wonder Woman 1984" - which will find Patty Jenkins returning to the director's chair and add Kristen Wiig to the mix as the villanous Cheetah - will be released in theaters on November 1, 2019.
