Manchester United sign new goalkeeper

Darren Moore has completed his first signing as West Brom head coach with goalkeeper Sam Johnstone joining from Manchester United.

The 35-year-old is well known to the Vicarage Road faithful after spending two consecutive seasons on loan with the Hornets from Manchester United during the 2005-06 and 2006-07 campaigns.

West Bromwich Albion were relegated from the English Premier League and they will play in the Championship, which is the second division in the English football league system.

The 25-year-old Preston-born shot-stopper is a United youth product who has spent his senior career away from the club on loan.

HITC Sport understands that former Aston Villa midfielder Nigel Reo-Coker is training with West Bromwich Albion.

"I'm happy to be here", he declared.

Grant told the club's official website, "Moving to Manchester United has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember".

"It's good to get through the door".

Reo-Coker moved from West Ham to Villa for £7.5million in 2007 and also spent a season at Bolton, making more than 200 Premier League appearances before having spells in Major League Soccer with Vancouver Whitecaps, Chivas USA and Montreal Impact and Norwegian side IK Start.

Sam Johnstone is delighted to have joined West Brom in the summer transfer window.

"Now it's time to settle down and take my game up to the next level which I believe I can do here".
