Meghan Markle ditches the Queen’s one fashion rule to fight the heatwave

Letters Royal, a fanbase for the Royal family, shared a candid snap of the letter they received on the social media platform, which features a black and white picture of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex laughing and smiling together after the much-anticipated royal wedding.

The Duchess of Sussex's wardrobe had a noticeable change of colour scheme as she arrived hand-in-hand with Prince Harry at London's Marlborough House tonight.

Meghan chose a vivid mustard dress by Brandon Maxwell, who was formerly Lady Gaga's stylist.

The 92-year-old monarch opted for a canary yellow coat on the first day of the Royal Ascot in Berkshire last month, on the same day as Meghan made her debut at the horse racing event.

But as Her Majesty wasn't there tonight, fans of the royal family were delighted with Meghan's choice to wear a bold colour instead.

Meghan traded her recent neutral hues for a sunny yellow design! Her makeup was understated, and her hair worn in a low bun.

Prince Harry complemented Meghan's bright dress in a navy blue suit complete with an olive green tie.

She previously told Insider: "You never see a royal without their nude stockings".

'The use of neutral colour on Meghan part is also a show of respect to the Queen so she never looks like she is trying to outshine her'.

Sophie, the Countess of Wessex, has hinted in the past at why the Queen often chooses bright colours on official engagements.

"We all had a great day, I think", Markle exclaimed, when asked about her royal wedding day during her first solo outing with Queen Elizabeth II.

"To arrive alone to face rows of United Kingdom royals and know the eyes of the entire world are on you could easily have created anxiety signals similar to Harry's but Meghan's upright back, congruent smile and quasi-royal composure suggested she was undaunted by the experience", James said of the Los Angeles-born and raised Royal.
