No victor on Friday means Mega Millions jackpot climbs to $493 million

Statistically, you have a one in 259 million chance of winning the Mega Millions jackpot.

The $433 million jackpot is the third-largest Mega Millions jackpot this year.

The Mega Millions jackpot jumped by $11 million and stands at $433 million for Friday's drawing.

The next Powerball drawing will be held Saturday, July 21, at 10:59 p.m. ET, tickets must be purchased by 10:00 p.m. ET on the July 21, to be eligible for this drawing. The highest was $533 million, won by Richard Wahl of New Jersey in April.

The drawing on July 20 (Friday night) was the fifth largest in Mega Millions history.

If there is a victor, and they take the cash payout, it will be worth $296 million.

This year, 20-year-old Shane Missler of Port Richey won a $451 million prize on January 5, while Richard Wahl of Vernon, N.J., won $533 million on March 30.

Since the last jackpot was won on May 4, more than 12.4 million winning tickets have been sold at all prize levels, including 24 worth $1 million or more.

Mega Millions is played in 44 states.
