Prince Louis's christening to take place in the Chapel Royal

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will christen their third child, Prince Louis, on July 9, 2018, starting at 4 p.m.

Keen to watch friend Serena Williams on the court, many fans and bloggers have declared themselves on "Kate watch" as family friend Rodger Federer will also be playing on the same day meaning it's likely we'll see all four of our favourite royals together. On the other hand, Prince Louis is expected to wear the same christening gown that his older siblings wore.

Ladbrokes says Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, is unlikely to be asked to guide baby Louis in the Christian faith.

Prince Louis will be christened later in a private ceremony in the Chapel Royal at St James's Palace.

The cream lace and white robe is a replica of the gown made for Queen Victoria's eldest daughter's christening in 1841.

His brother Prince George was christened at a similar time, and was baptised about 13 weeks after he was born on October 23, 2013.

Britain's Prince Louis, the baby son of Prince William and his wife Kate, is due to be christened at a private ceremony at St James's Palace in London on Monday.

The Queen's first great-grandchild Savannah Phillips weighed 8lb 8oz in 2010, and the newest addition to the Windsors, Zara Tindall's daughter Lena, born last month, weighed 9lb 3oz.

Father of three William declared it was "thrice the worry now" when he left the hospital with the duchess to take newborn Louis back home to Kensington Palace.

Two days after he was born, William said he was sleeping "reasonably well so far, so he's behaving himself, which is good".

Tiggy, who now lives on the Glanusk Estate in Wales, cared for the young Princes in the nineties - joining Prince Charles' household while he and Princess Diana were separating.

William and Kate had already used Louis as one of Prince George's middle names, but liked it so much they chose to use it again.
