Robin Wright: I Haven't Heard From Kevin Spacey Since Scandal

"I didn't really- I didn't know the man".

This is the first time that Wright has publicly addressed the controversy surrounding her former co-star of five years.

Spacey was subsequently fired from Netflix drama House Of Cards and removed from the film All The Money In The World.

Robin Wright has spoken about Kevin Spacey's sexual assault allegations for the first time.

"He was so great with me - was never disrespectful to me, " Wright, 52, continued. "That's my personal experience, and that's the only thing I feel that I have the right to talk about".

Robin Wright sat down for her first TV interview since her "House of Cards" co-star, Kevin Spacey, was sacked over sexual assault allegations.

Since October, Wright has distanced herself from the scandal, which saw multiple men come forward claiming that Spacey had inappropriately behaved towards them. Spacey tweeted his "sincerest apology" for what he labeled drunken behaviour. Spacey apologized to Rapp but said he had no memory of the incident. "I could never imagine [that] anyone else I know would do something like that to a 14-year-old boy".

"I haven't heard from him and I don't even know how to reach him", Wright said.

The Golden Globe victor (who plays Claire Underwood on House of Cards) said she doesn't "know how to comment" on Netflix's decision to part ways with the actor. "Everybody felt that it was respectful to back off", she said, adding that "this a year ago has shined a light in a new way to allow us to start a new conversation, so we just need to shift the paradigm". The actress told "TODAY" she knew Spacey "between action and cut".
