Stormy Daniels' lawyer skyrockets to chief Trump critic

Stormy Daniels' lawyer skyrockets to chief Trump critic

Charges against adult film actress Stormy Daniels for allegedly touching three undercover detectives while performing at an OH strip club were dismissed Thursday, her attorney said.

Columbus police said they have made numerous arrests based on this law since last fall when authorities "were made aware" of illegal activity at adult entertainment clubs in the city.

Daniels' lawyer called for an investigation into the arrest, saying some of the officers had what appeared to be "very Pro-Trump" social media pages. A person who answered the phone at the club declined to comment.

Police approached Daniels, who was topless and wearing a G-string, after she was seen "using her bare breasts to smack the patrons" and "fondling the breasts of the female patrons", according to an incident report published online by a local news outlet. However, on Thursday, prosecutors dropped the charges because Daniels had appeared only once at the Columbus club and the law refers to someone "who regularly appears nude or seminude" at a club.

Just rcvd word that my client @StormyDaniels was arrested in Columbus Ohio whole performing the same act she has performed across the nation at almost a hundred strip clubs. She was originally scheduled for another performance at Sirens that night, but her attorney, Michael Avenatti, said she opted to find another club.

The state of OH moved to dismiss the case because it did "not have probable cause to proceed on any of the three charges set forth in the complaints", according to scanned court documents that Avenatti posted to social media.

She vowed to donate "all tips" to the lawyers' fees for two other dancers arrested with her. Daniels has said she had sex with President Donald Trump in 2006, which Trump has denied. Prosecutors are checking whether those women will be prosecuted, said city attorney Zach Klein.

Chief Kim Jacobs told the gossip site that the she agrees Daniels' arrest never should have happened, and is going to look into why officers took her in.

Through White House officials, Trump has denied the affair with Daniels, although Cohen has admitted paying her $130 000 as part of the agreement.
