Black man accuses Sean Spicer of hurling racial slur at him

'Sean, I was a day student at [Portsmouth] Abbey, too, with you, ' the man says enthusiastically, referring to the Rhode Island boarding school Spicer attended in the 1980s. But you called me a n***** first.

It's been a bad week for former White House press secretary Sean Spicer. "I'm not scared to fight you now", Lombard said. "Absent an immediate retraction", said Bowe, "Mr. Spicer will take legal action Monday".

As security hustled Lombard out of the room, he can be heard saying, "I was 14 then".

It emerged when a man confronted Spicer at a book signing in Rhode Island on Friday in an encounter that local newspapers captured on video.

On Saturday, Spicer's lawyer said the man's claim was a lie and that they meant to sue the Associated Press for reporting on it. "I'm not scared to fight you now!"

Lombard, a Newport native who now lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts, accused Spicer of using the N-word and trying to fight him when they were at school. Originally from Newport, Lombard graduated from the private school in Portsmouth in 1990, according to The Providence Journal. It said Spicer was a member of the class of 1989. A Spicer spokeswoman hasn't returned an email seeking comment.

Posting the embarrassing footage online, Rupar wrote: "A source in Brooklyn sent me this video of Sean Spicer getting heckled at a book signing in NYC tonight".

Lauren McCue, a publicist for Regnery Publishing, said Mr Spicer was "not sure if this was just a stunt this man was pulling" - adding that it was an "odd time" for the allegation to be made given that he has been in the news for a couple of years.
