First Look at Margot Robbie as Sharon Tate

First Look at Margot Robbie as Sharon Tate

The image shows Robbie sporting long blonde hair similar to Tate's, while the actress wears a black turtleneck sweater, a white miniskirt, and a matching pair of go-go boots.

The film, written and directed by Tarantino, takes place in 1969 Los Angeles, and takes place around the time of the Manson murders.

Manson Family members Charles "Tex" Watson, Susan Atkins and Patricia Krenwinkel butchered Sharon at her and her husband Roman Polanski's Los Angeles home in August 1969 - leaving the word "PIG" scrawled on the front door in Sharon's blood.

Back in June, Leonardo DiCaprio - who also starred alongside Robbie in The Wolf of Wall Street - gave fans a first look at the upcoming Quentin Taratino flick by sharing a photo of him and Brad Pitt - the film's other star - decked out in '60s garb.

The supporting cast is HUGE, including Al Pacino, Burt Reynolds, Tim Roth, Kurt Russell, Michael Madsen, Damian Lewis, Dakota Fanning, and many more.

Debra had previously condemned films being made for the 50th anniversary, including Once Upon A Time In Hollywood and The Haunting of Sharon Tate.

Quentin Tarantino described this movie as "probably the closest to "Pulp Fiction" that I have done".

In a statement the Kill Bill filmmaker said: "I couldn't be happier about the dynamic teaming of DiCaprio & Pitt as Rick & Cliff".

Robbie will play Sharon Tate in the star-studded drama that is set against the backdrop of the Manson family murders. "I'm very excited to tell this story of an L.A. and a Hollywood that don't exist anymore".

Early plot details for the upcoming movie were revealed last November with a release date of August 9, 2019, the fiftieth anniversary of actress Sharon Tate's murder.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood will be released on July 26, 2019.
