Crystal Palace have reached an agreement to sign Jordan Ayew on loan from Swansea City until the end of the season.

Ayew was at the ground to the surprise of club staff, but new Swans boss Potter made clear the 26-year-old does not have a future in South Wales, whatever the outcome over the final days of the transfer window.

Provided the transfer fee is suitable, Swansea will not stand in his way as they want to get his massive wages off the books.

Jordan arrives at Crystal Palace with the reputation of ending last season as Swansea's top goal scorer with eleven goals.

The Eagles confirmed the deal on transfer deadline day, adding the Ghana global to the signings of Vicente Guaita, Cheikhou Kouyate and Max Meyer earlier in the window. "I am looking forward to playing with the boys and meet the fans, and hopefully it'll be a good season. It's a step up for me and I'm ready for the challenge and to get to where I think I can get to".

"I chose to come to Palace to continue improving".

Crystal Palace will travel to newcomers Fulham on the first day of the 2018/19 Premier League season at Craven Cottage on August 11.
