God of War adds New Game+ on August 20

Sony's Santa Monica Studio announced today a release date for God of War's New Game+ mode that'll allow players to replay the game's story once again will all your earned loot in tow.

To find out more about God of War, keep an eye on its website. In order to access New Game Plus you'll, of course, have to beat the main story campaign (it doesn't matter what difficulty you play on).

The much-requested feature can only be unlocked after completing the epic daddy simulator, after which it'll be waiting for you once the game has updated. Enemies will be more hard and some will even have new attacks and patterns. Kratos and Atreus' abilities, enchantments, pieces of equipment, resources, and talismans from your previous run will remain with you. There is a new rarity level for equipment.

Test your skills against higher level enemies; some of which might even have a few new tricks up their sleeves. Make sure to play around with the new armors and enchantments, as well, to explore the new customization options.

According to Kaufman, not only will the forthcoming patch be the "biggest update to God of War" yet, but also it has been inspired by player feedback, so it will be interesting to see how the fan base reacts when it goes live.
