Michy Batshuayi joins Valencia on loan from Chelsea

Whilst a striker did not arrive despite concerns about Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud's ability to lead the front-line, Sarri has seen it fit to allow Belgium global Michy Batshuayi to join La Liga side Valencia on a season-long loan.

Batshuayi joined Chelsea two years ago from Marseille, and wrote himself into Stamford Bridge folklore when he scored a late winning goal at West Bromwich Albion to secure the 2016/17 Premier League title.

Also, Belgium striker, Michy Batshuayi is heading to Spanish side Valencia on loan.

He scored four goals with three assists.

Zouma joined Chelsea from Saint-étienne in January 2014 and made 71 appearances for the Blues first team.

And further confirmation of the move was given when Kristof Terreur, who covers Belgian players in the Premier League for HLN, posted about the move on his own Twitter page - he also confirmed that there is no option for Los Che to buy Batshuayi at the end of the loan.

Batshuayi made three appearances for Belgium at the World Cup in Russian Federation this summer, scoring after coming off the bench in the 5-2 group-stage victory over Tunisia.

Batshuayi, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Borussia Dortmund, only spent a week training under new Chelsea coach Maurizio Sarri but was deemed surplus to requirements with Alvaro Morata, Olivier Giroud and Tammy Abraham all available.
