New Jersey Woman Pays It Forward, Picks Up Keith Urban’s Wawa Tab

Ruth Reed says she met Urban at a Medford Wawa ahead of his concert Friday night in Camden. He said, 'Ruth I'm Keith.' And I said, 'That's who you look like Keith Urban.

"I didn't know it was Keith Urban". She then noticed Urban's bodyguards and realized it was him. "I didn't think he had enough money to pay for his things so I said I would pay for it", Reed, 50, told local news outlet CBS3. When he said he was Keith Urban, she reportedly didn't believe him until his security guard confirmed she actually was talking to the musician.

Ruth Reed and her husband have made it a habit to pick up people's tabs at Wawa.

But as she was paying she thought to herself that the guy looked familiar.

The country star played Camden's BB&T Pavilion on Friday night, which he said he nearly called "the PB&J Center" in a video following the performance.

"I said, 'Really? Really?"

She asked where his wife Nicole Kidman was and he introduced the woman he was with as his sister.

But in fact, Reed is the gracious one in town.

Reed says she hopes her story will help people realize the importance of doing acts of kindness.

Reed says Urban stuck 5 dollars in the donation box at the register and happily took this picture with her.

Reed, who is very shy, has been getting a lot of attention over her interaction with Urban.

"Three years ago, I made a resolution to treat somebody at Wawa once a week", she said.
