Trump pushes Jeff Sessions to end Mueller's Russian Federation investigation 'right now'

Trump pushes Jeff Sessions to end Mueller's Russian Federation investigation 'right now'

The man heading Trump's re-election campaign, Brad Parscale, has in recent months called on Trump to fire Sessions and end the Mueller probe.

New York University law professor Ryan Goodman, however, has written up an analysis of a 2017 Department of Justice memo that shows the acts involved with colluding with Russian Federation most certainly could be considered crimes.

Sessions removed himself from the investigation after it was revealed that he met with a Russian ambassador during the campaign.

The judge in the trial of onetime Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort is telling prosecutors not to use the word "oligarch" to describe wealthy Ukrainians who paid millions to Manafort for his work as an worldwide political consultant.

Trump went on to tweet about how his former campaign chairman Paul Manafort only worked for him for a very short time.

In June, Trump's 2020 campaign manager Brad Parscale called for Sessions to be fired and "end the Mueller investigation".

The social media screed comes on the second day of Manafort's federal trial.

"Paul Manafort worked for Ronald Reagan, Bob Dole and many other highly prominent and respected political leaders", Trump noted.

But whether Mueller could actually file charges against Trump is another question, according to Rosenberg. Why didn't the government tell me he was under investigation.

Trump said the charges against Manafort "have nothing to do with Collusion".

An element of Mueller's investigation includes whether Trump or anyone in the campaign tried to obstruct justice. He recused himself in March, 2017, and gave oversight to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein. He says agents spotted Manafort inside after they entered.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Uzo Asonye told the jury Tuesday that Manafort considered himself above the law as he funneled tens of millions of dollars through offshore accounts to pay for personal expenses such as a $21,000 watch and a $15,000 jacket made of ostrich.
