Video shows Brooklyn nail salon workers attacking customer

A nail salon worker and a customer have been arrested and charged for their involvement in an intense nail salon fight that broke out in Brooklyn last week. It was filmed by another customer who was inside during the mayhem.

In a video posted to Facebook, Mercy Maduka explained that she was paying a visit to the NY salon when a huge fight broke out over a so-called botched eyebrow.

The wild scene was captured on cell phone video. From there, one of the employees, Huiyue Zhing, attacks Thomas with a blue broomstick.

"So I'm at the nail salon and they f****d up a lady's eyebrow and she refused to pay, then a fight broke out", Ms Maduka said in the post.

"Share this cause the cops chose to arrest the black people but not the Chinese people who ganged up on them". "[They are] hitting them like animals". The women were dissatisfied with the service from the salon and ultimately, refused to pay $5 for a "f**ked up" eyebrow job.

Demonstrators angrily chanted, "shut them down", "f-k the police", "no nails, no toes, these racist shops have got to go" and "where is ICE (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement)", implying that the salon's Asian employees might be undocumented immigrants.

Police on Monday confirmed the incident resulted in two arrests.

Christina Thomas, 21, of Brooklyn was charged with assault, menacing and harrassment.

Police have not confirmed any other details in the case, but a spokesperson for the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office confirmed they are examining all the evidence and will evaluate charges based on that. Many demand it be closed, and tell locals take their business elsewhere. One person at the protest threw a bottle, hitting an NYPD officer in the back.
