Xiaomi Mi A2 exclusive launch today; Here are features, price and more

But unlike the time Xiaomi had launched the Mi A1, this time, the Mi A2 faces some formidable competition from Nokia's entire lineup, and other big players who too are a part of the new Android One program.

Since it's a Google's Android One device, the phone comes with unlimited high-quality photo storage on Google Cloud as well as monthly security updates and two major OS updates. The Xiaomi Mi A2 price in India will remain the same for both pre-orders and flash sales as the company is providing no special benefits for pre-booking the device except early shipping. However, looking at the worldwide pricing of the phone which was announced to be Euro 279 (about Rs 22,500) for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant and Euro 349 (about Rs 28,000) for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage option, it can be said that the phone will sell around the same price point only. They are aided by phase-detection autofocus, and a dual-tone dual-LED flash.

- The Mi A2 looks a lot like the Redmi Note 5 Pro and the Mi A1 had a baby. Xiaomi said that the device will be available on Mi.com, Amazon.in and Mi Home offline stores. It is powered by a 3,010mAh battery with a USB Type-C port. Internationally, Mi A2 was launched in three colours - gold, blue and black and hopefully Xiaomi will be launching the same colors in India as well. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The Snapdragon 660 has eight Kryo 260 cores, and Adreno 512 GPU.

Software: The Mi A2 runs a stock version of Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box. The device also comes with Quick Charge 4.0 fast charging, which is exclusive to the Indian market. The Mi A2 camera also features an AI portrait mode and smart lens which click images based on different lighting conditions. The camera appears to lack OIS.
